Lexus RC F GT3 2017 Launched, Ready To Compete in Japan and USA

Lexus unveiled its new racing RC F GT3 who can participate in the tournament in Japan Super GT and IMSA SportsCar USA. His debut will be at the 24 Hours of Daytona endurance race on January 26-29, will be involved with the team 3GT Racing. The new Lexus race car will also compete in the GT300 class of the Super GT Series in Japan, apart from the U.S., starting from the 2017 season.

For the competition,  Lexus RC F GT3 2017 has a V8 engine that produces up to 540 horsepower, according to the regulations of the championship involved and weighs 1,250 pounds. The Lexus leaves open the possibility to bring the RC F GT3 and Europe, so that it runs in the GT3 championship of FIA.

“Lexus is embracing new challenges as a luxury lifestyle brand as it strives to inspire customers with amazement and excitement that exceed the imagination,” said Tokuo Fukuichi, President of Lexus International. “Our decision to enter in customer motorsports will both refine the performance of our high-performance F models and give our customers an amazing experience.”

“I’m pleased that we are able to introduce the LEXUS RC F GT3 in the GT3 category, which represents the highest level of customer racing,” added Koei Saga, Chief Officer and Technical Director of Toyota Gazoo Racing Factory.

“The first step is to place four cars in races in the U.S. and Japan, but in the future we will nurture our RC F GT3 into a model that is loved by worldwide customers.”

To celebrate the race-ready form the RC F GT3, Lexus has published a video entitled “The Road to Daytona: Lexus Returns to Racing” which explains what to do to adjust racing suit for a high performance coupe.

Lexus RX 7 Seat Underway to Rival Mercedes-Benz GLS and BMW X7

Lexus thinking to prepare the 7-seater version of the Lexus RX and reportedly the presentation will take place later in the year in order to begin sales in 2018. This new more practical and roomier version will have major rivals the Volvo XC90 and Mercedes GLS. Engine Specification, the 7-seater RX will be powered by the same engines of the simple RX and includes the V6 of RX350 and the hybrid RX450h.

According to Karlk Schlich Director of Toyota hinted that we will see many crossover of the two companies stating:

“We would see other SUV developments before we’d see another coupe – that’s my guess. Once the coupes have done their job, we need to further refine the SUV range.”

Lexus apart from the 7-seater RX prepares and the production version of the UX concept, the small SUV presented in Paris last year and expected to be placed under the NX and RX. The company has already established names UX200, UX250 and UX250h and is very likely the UX is a replacement and not so successful CT as the basic model of the company.
