Jaguar F-Type Shooting Brake, a Good Rival for Ferrari GTC4

After Ferrari unveiled its new model, GTC4 Lusso, it is time for other automaker to release rival model. Of all the various bodystyles proliferate in the automotive market, shooting brake remains one of the most obvious. Mercedes used the term on the company sleek CLA and CLS wagon (although they still have a five-door), and create a form GTC4 Ferrari Lusso (like FF before). But what if Jaguar entered the fray with a version of the F-Type?

That’s what X-Tomi has envisioned with this latest rendering, and we must say that we are more attracted. Design took recently updated F-Type 400 Sport as its basis, stretch the top of the cans all the way to the back, giving an extra dose of British coupe utility.

F-Type does not need help in the styling department, either coupe or roadster form. Certainly not in the back, which might be the most beautiful in the business. But the format shooting brake pull at the heartstrings us just the right way.

Throw in all-wheel drive and JLR celebrated 5.0-liter supercharged V8 and Coventry would have (if niche) a serious alternative to Ferrari. Although Maranello recently introduced a version of the turbocharged V8 from GTC4 Lusso price under the model of the twelve-cylinder, which is priced at $ 260k for still more than double that of even the top-of-the-line F-Type SVR – the 575 horsepower come within spitting distance of GTC4 Lusso T 602.

New 2018 Jaguar F-Type Facelift Now with GoPro Techonolgy

Without many changes, Jaguar introduced the updated F-Type, the visual differences with the pre-facelift F-type to be negligible and identify the new bumpers, new LED front lights, like the new tail, which now is LED technology.

“Great sports car design is about proportion and purity. The most challenging element of the process for designers is to focus on and maintain an exciting silhouette that promises performance. For the 2018 model year F-TYPE, we looked at how we could fine-tune key details to deliver even more clarity of purpose in the overall design – for the driver, the passenger and onlookers.” said Ian Callum, Director of Design, Jaguar.

Inside there are new, lighter seats by 8 pounds, the new information and entertainment system Touch Pro, chrome and aluminum decorations and new leather upholstery, the British automaker to introduce the R-Dynamic package to F-Type with the V6 engine, which combined with wheels 19 “or 20”, as with black details on the bumpers and bonnet.

2018 Jaguar F-Type Exterior

The F-TYPE’s grille shape and graphic are unchanged, remaining – as ever – key elements in the sports car’s design DNA. However, for the 2018 model year, designers paid particular attention to the bumpers, introducing bolder surfaces and simpler forms with discreet signature features subtly enhancing the front end form, providing greater differentiation across the model range, from the F-TYPE up to the F-TYPE SVR.

The Jaguar also offers application ReRun which combined with GoPro camera produces high quality video to the vehicle data.

“The ReRun app combines several unique features from our Developer Toolkits to help F-TYPE drivers to create premium quality, easy-to-share videos of their driving experiences. Thanks to the close collaboration between Jaguar Land Rover’s InControl Apps team and our Developer Program team, ReRun offers outstanding functionality and is intuitive to use. We’re looking forward to the launch and seeing the first customer videos online.” said Adam Silver, Senior Director of Accessories and Developer Solutions, GoPro.

Interior – 2018 Jaguar F-Type

The 2018 model year F-TYPE’s interior, it said like the exterior, evolves into a purer, more concentrated expression of the car’s original elegance and sportiness. Jaguar’s interior designers focused on refining a handful of key elements to create a greater sense of harmony in the finishes, enhance the sense of balance between luxury and performance and to introduce new material options that give the car an even more exotic feel.

One of the most significant upgrades are the new lightweight slimline seats which combine an ergonomically-optimised form with outstanding comfort. The seat’s flowing contours and sculpted surfaces also contribute to the F-TYPE interior’s heightened sense of anticipation and poise.
