2017 Toyota Prius C facelift Launched, Added More Safety Technology

The Prius C is circulated from 2012 in the US and Toyota decided that the time has come to present the updated version. All these years the Prius C has received several upgrades, while last year saw the Persona series.

The updated model features a new exterior look that retains the hexagonal grille and has black details around the fog lamps. Side has to give it a more aggressive look, and there is black spoiler and black details at the bottom of the rear bumper. Furthermore, all versions of the Prius C will come with alloy wheels. The biggest change for the updated model that will bring the standard equipment Toyota Sense-C Safety in all trim.

The 2017 Prius c is equipped with nine airbags and, features the standard Star Safety Systemâ„¢, which includes Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRAC), Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), and Smart Stop technology.

Toyota Safety Sense-C is designed to help address three key areas of driver assistance: preventing or mitigating frontal collisions, helping maintain driving within their lane, and enhancing road safety during nighttime driving. Toyota plans to make automatic emergency braking standard on nearly all models by the end of 2017. That will put Toyota (and Lexus) four years ahead of the model-year 2022 industry target announced by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

The engine of the redesigned Prius C remains the hybrid four-cylinder 1.5-liter Atkinson cycle operates in and delivers 73 horsepower with 111 Nm of torque combined with the electric motor and delivers a total of 99 HP. The electric motor can drive the car for 1.6 km with a maximum speed of 40 km / h.
