2018 Ford Focus Wagon, Some Change in Trunk

There will be a new Ford Focus Wagon in 2018, before that, we will see lot spy shot of it. What you see here is Ford trying to cover up the running gear and the next Focus platform under an extensively modified body of the Focus hatchback today. It even earned the nickname ‘Elvis’ as we can see from the sticker on the back.

To hide the new version of the wagon wider and longer under the skin of the current Focus, Ford did everything they could, including the terrible rear that looks like melting and ready to break away from the rest of the car.

You really can see the additional metal welded between different body parts to make it fit. It seemed to us that they would have it much easier if they just choose to train current bodystyle to hide under the new car but Ford may want to give our spies something to remember. Other modifications we can trace including reworked front fascia and wider.

There is not much information about the next generation of Ford Focus out there, with speculation talk about the interior design is much cleaner to improve the ergonomics and the latest connected features.

Specification for engine range will remain largely in the slightly improved EcoBoost engine and a clean version while the hybrid powertrain that combines EcoBoost petrol unit with an electric motor are also expected as part of the company’s plans to launch 13 electric models in the next five years.

The new Ford Focus is expected to hit the market in 2018, so we’ll have a better idea of what to expect in the coming months.
